The covenant relationship which God instituted from the beginning with Adam and Eve (Genesis 2:18,20-25) is under attack today. Christians struggle with divorce at a pace that rivals non-Christians. We have refused to acknowledge the presence of demonic forces which hate anything Godly at work in our Edens (Our marriages). Men have stood by and allowed the serpent to deceive their wives by refusing to take their proper places as spiritual heads of their families. In many cases are not even the heads of their families in the natural realm at all, because so many have deserted their families leaving wife and children to satisfy their own lust. In some cases, the woman has left her family to satisfy her own lust. Devils have no respect or care about gender.
1 Pet 5:8 says “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: (KJV)” The devil as the word says in Genesis, is more cunning than any other creature. He uses this cunning to get you to destroy your marriage with your own mouth. Hateful words suck the life out of the marriage. But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth. Such “wisdom” does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, of the devil. (James 3:14-15/NIV) If you find these elements persisting in your marriage seek deliverance as soon as possible.
Selfishness is the root cause of all marital discord. Whenever you hear terms such as I, me, my. You can be assured this relationship is on a destructive course. Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails (1Corinthians 13:4-8/NIV).
The lie of homosexuality attempts to weaken the institution of marriage by trying to dilute and defame its purpose. Trying to change the natural use (Romans 1:26-27) which God intended. One man and one woman in a covenant relationship for life. Anyone who escapes this awful lie of homosexuality (I was born that way) is truly blessed. You see, God did not make any mistakes. Submit yourself to God, resist the devil, and he will flee from you! (James 4:7).
